[ Story ]

Hosono Tatsuoki of Shabu Gokudo directs this ambitious film about the cutting of Hasegawa Kazuo's face, a major scandal in Japanese film history. The film uses multiple layers that bring together film, theater and reality.
The year is 1937. Japan is shocked when good-looking actor Hayashi Chojiro (a.k.a Hasegawa Kazuo)'s face is cut with a razor. The incident is the focus of discussion during a film script session. The production team members have conflicting ideas and the discussion gets heated. It's the final days of a stage play dramatizing the meeting. The actor playing the assistant director flees and the lead actress announces that she wants to leave the production.
