[ Story ]

Short animation about a garbage landfill site at Shichigorosawa in Hakodate City, Hokkaido depicted from the perspective of foxes living in the wild. Told completely in the Ainu language, inspired by the methods of the "yukar" Ainu sagas. Conceived of and produced by Ainu artists based in Sapporo and Tokyo, the film superimposes wild animals whose habitat is destroyed by environmental pollution over the historical backdrop of the Ainu people's experiences. Highly acclaimed and screened at over 30 film festivals focused on the environment and indigenous peoples.
Foxes have lived for generations at Shichigorosawa in Hakodate's Higashiyama. However, they lose their homes when humans start disposing of medical waste in the wetlands.
