[ Story ]
This is a fun-packed travelogue-comedy which carries the audience to many scenic places, on and off the beaten path. Beautiful shots of the Inland Sea, the ultra-modern aspects of Nagoya and the historic and picturesque city of Hirado come to life in beautiful color as the hero and heroine move across the country in their penniless wanderings.
Beautiful Chikako Matsudaira, reigning queen of mass media, is a much-in-demand wonder girl whose activities range from TV to magazines. One night, however, she suddenly realizes that although mass media may dub her the queen, she is actually a slave to their gregarious demands. And on a bright and sunny morning Chikako drives off in her new car to enjoy life while she can. En-route, she strikes up a strange companionship with a roving photographer, is robbed of her car and cash, and spends the night in a police protection home for drunks.
Haunted at every corner by news reports of her disappearance, they make their way across the country by taking unbeaten paths. Their journey is, therefore, featured by entrancing places not often seen on the screen.
