One summer day, a team of performing swimmers discovers Fumiko, a young woman, adrift on the sea whose husband has been drowned while attempting to save her.
Next morning, on seeing Fumiko's picture in a swimming suit, Ryuko, a member of the team and a detective story addict, suspects that she is not a poor swimmer but a strong one.
Fumiko informs the team that her company is planning a fashion show of swimming wear, and offers them an engagement.
While practicing, they are attacked by girl members of a rival swimming team.
On the day of the show, part way through the performance, Ryuko whose hairpin has been poisoned by Fumiko, becomes unconscious.
The next night, Kazue, the leader of the team, is informed by Kentaro, her boy friend, that the widow Fumiko was seen on the beach in the arms of Keiichi. Learning that Kazue has discovered that Fumiko conspired with him to kill her husband, Keiichi takes her out in a motor boat in order to do away with her and so bury their evil secret.
