[ Story ]
Based on a novel of the same title by Isaka Kotaro, which won the Yoshikawa Eiji Prize for New Writers. Directed by Nakamura Yoshirhiro of The Glorious Team Batista (Team Batista no Eiko). A story of friendship among youths is portrayed with a mysterious touch, switching between present and past.
Soon after Shiina (Hamada Gaku) moves to an apartment in Sendai, his neighbor Kawasaki (Eita) asks to join him in a raid on a book shop because Kawasaki wants to give a copy of a "Kojien" dictionary to Dorji, a foreign student at the same apartment who tends to keep to himself, as he needs to find out the difference between a foreign duck and a native duck. The following day, unable to find an excuse, Shiina stands at the back of the book shop with a model gun in his hand, and helps with the raid as instructed. The raid is a success, but the copy Kawasaki stole turns out to be a "Kojirin" dictionary. Shiina points out the mistake to Kawasaki, but he only smiles. The true aim of the raid is completely different; behind the stated plan is hidden the painful story of Kawasaki, Dorji, and Dorji's girlfriend, Kotomi (Seki Megumi) who is also an ex-girlfriend of Kawasaki.
