[ Story ]

Once in the Land of Badgers, there lived an old badger named Doroemon who had a lovely daughter named Okuro, a meek and obedient girl who always went to buy sake' for him.
Now, near the forest where Doroemon and Okuro lived was a palace in which lived a beautiful princess who, strange to say, looked so much like Okuro that she could have passed as her twin.
The princess had high ideals and dreams and was determined to marry a human-being instead of a badger, so she was very strict with those who served her and insisted that they always appear in human form.
By a strange twist of fate, Okuro became the proxy princess. The real princess ran away. She was confident that a human being would fall in love with her, and disdained meeting the prince who was coming to the palace to win her hand.
Thinking Okuro to be the real princess, the prince fell head over heels in love with her. Poor Okuro returned his love, but a little voice within her kept reminding her that she was only a proxy princess.
The real princess travelled far and wide and learned that a badger was a badger, no matter how beautiful or how clever she was, and was grateful to return to the palace, and Okuro, the proxy princess, returned to her home.
