[ Story ]
Tokusuke, a semi-invalid is crippled with neuralgia. With time heavy on his hands, he is forced to live with memories of the days when he was still a vigorous man, and the nearness of Satsuko, his beautiful daughter-in-law, only adds fuel to the fire of his desire.
As Satsuko is well aware of her powers over him, she suffers his pawing and blubbering over her for a while, but never without obtaining in return whatever she has set her heart on. Her latest acquisition is a cat's-eye ring costing 3,000,000 yen.
So great is Tokusuke's feeling of abnormal affection for Satsuko that he decides on a Bussokuseki for his tombstone. The Bussokuseki of Yakushiji Temple in Nara is a stone on which the footprints of Buddha are carved. Tokusuke, however, intends to have Satsuko's footprints carved on his, so that he can sleep in peace.
