[ Story ]
Dealing with the famous folk-hero, Kyoshiro Nemuri, this film has him setting out on a long journey to Kyoto. Though a sacred image belonging to the Shogunate has been entrusted to him, Kyoshiro is not anxious to take responsibility, knowing that the Black Finger Group is after it. So he demands the daughter of Shurinosuke, one of the Shogun's vassals as a gesture of goodwill and, to his surprise, receives her. Decided to get the image safely to Kyoto he and the girl set out on their journey. The Black Finger Group tries all of its wiles, traps, swordsmen, beautiful girls to lure him from his duty. But nothing works because Kyoshiro is determined, and has begun to experience a feeling he has not known before, something like a protective tenderness toward the young girl in his charge.
