[ Story ]

Keiichi, a student, is goaded into a fight by a hoodlum, and in a fit of anger he injures his opponent badly and runs away. He is followed by Tsune, another ruffian, who takes him to the tea-room C'est Moi, where he meets Sawayama, the leader of a gang and Tsune's boss. It is an entirely different world from any that Keiichi has known and on his way home he imitates the language and actions of the hoodlums in the tea-room.
He is expelled from college, his friends shun him. He cannot expect sympathy from his mother, a widow who operates a bar and is on intimate terms with a man named Sato. When Keiichi is attacked by Sone, a hoodlum Tsune, with other members of the gang, catch up with Sone and beat him senseless.
But Tsune has his troubles for he has mislaid money which belongs to the gang and solves the problem by extortion. In the meantime, Keiichi is attracted by Chiri, and persuades her to go with him to the park.
Tsune takes the money he has extorted to gang headquarters, but is reprimanded for beating up a member of rival gang. He is told to raise fifty-thousand yen within three days and his rage against the attitude of his superior is vent on Keiichi whom he tells to raise the cash.
Desperate, Tsune induces Keiichi to follow him to Chiri's home when she is absent and tries to blackmail her father who picks up a pair of scissors and stabs himself by mistake.
Keiichi is desperate and pleads with Tsune to leave him alone. The next morning, Tsune is discovered by Sawayama, who tells him the Daiwa gang are going to kill him. Sawayama tells him that he will be given money and means to escape to Hong Kong on the condition he commits a murder that night.
Tsune and Keiichi lie in ambush for the man they have been ordered to murder. But Keiichi recognizes the victim and rushes forward to stop Tsune's assault. The two fall, and the dagger pierces Keiichi's stomach. Aghast at what has happened, Tsune drags the body of his friend to Sawayama's car. For the man Keiichi recognized was Sato, the man his mother was to marry.
