[ Story ]
Detective Iwase resigns the police force to protect his sister from reprisal by members of a vicious gang who had been sentenced to prison five years before as a result of her identification and testimony. But, in spite of Iwase's vigilance, in addition to police protection, the gangsters murder Masako and get away. Thus starts Iwase's pursuit of vengeance.
The following day, one of the members of the gang is arrested. He reveals that the sixty-million yen for which the raid and murder had been committed five years ago disappeared before the police arrived on the scene, and that Masako and her husband, both witnesses of the murder, had stolen the money.
Actually, Dan, a minor member of the gang had stolen the fortune upon orders from boss Shida. Shida's henchman, Asami, suspects his boss and corners him in a cave where the money is buried. The cache turns out to contain counterfeit bills, and in a fit of rage, Asami shoots his boss.
Meanwhile, Iwase learns from Dan that the actual killer of his sister is Asami, and the ex-detective, bitter with hate and vengeance, tracks down the murderer to avenge her death.
