The small town in Southern Japan, blessed with azure skies and emerald sea, is also proud of its Girls' High School and the bright eyed girls studying there.
Mr. Mazaki, the new mathematics teacher, enters this peaceful scene. Soon almost all the girls get a crush on him, and Enami Keiko worries him the most.
Keiko is pretty and intelligent but her home life is not a happy one. Never having known a father's love, she develops a possessive attachment to Mr. Mazaki.
Life has been particularly harsh to Keiko's mother. To ward off dire poverty, she had known many men and one had been Keiko's father.
When Keiko discovers Mr. Mazaki loves Miss Hashimoto, she is sick at heart until she realizes that her feelings have been only a part of her growing pains, and she is happy once again.
