[ Story ]
Shinko has just transferred to a girls' high school in an old castle town by the sea. She is so vivacious and full of life that she arouses envy in her classmates and, sometimes, envy nurtures maliciousness:
Miss Shimazaki, Shinko's English teacher, is shocked when she learns that rumors are rife hinting that Shinko had been expelled from her former school due to a love affair.
Dr. Numata, who loves Miss Shimazaki, chides her for her unyielding attitude in an easygoing town where the people have a more tolerant outlook on life, but only gets a hard slap for his pains.
Shinko, the butt of her classmates practical jokes, unwittingly causes tempest after tempest while Miss Shimazaki always comes to her rescue. Ironically, however, the classmates get their deserts from two college boys who take Shinko's part out of their sense of fair play.
