[ Story ]
Fujiyama Yukihiro (Yakusho Koji) is unexpectedly diagnosed as having terminal cancer with only 6 months to live. It was completely out of the blue for Fujiyama, a 48-year-old head of department at a real estate company, happily married with his wife (Imai Miki) and their two children. How should he spend the rest of his life? Fujiyama wishes to "live just as he did until yesterday, and carry on living to the full until the last moment." Having refused life-prolonging treatment, he continues with his daily life while battling with seizing pain. He visits valued people whom he had met before and tells them of his thoughts in order to reflect on the life he has led. As the illness advances, he moves to a hospice on the coast, where he passes away peacefully.
Based on a full-length novel by a songwriter, Akimoto Yasushi, who created various trends and spearheaded the era. Starring Yakusho Koji who attained an international reputation for his performance in Memoirs of a Geisha and Babel. Directed by Isaka Satoshi of g@me and .
