The live-action adaptation of the theatrical animated film, The Anthem of the Heart. Directed by Kumazawa Naoto, who has directed films portraying youth such as From Me to You.
Third year in high school, Takumi (Nakajima Kento) is appointed to the committee of the community outreach event. Jun (Yoshine Kyoko), a girl who is unable to speak because of a past trauma, is also appointed with him. Ex-girlfriend of Takumi, Natsuki (Ishii Anna), and former baseball team ace Daiki (Kanichiro), join Takumi and Jun in attempting to put on a musical for the community outreach event. Jun decides to write the lyrics for the song for the musical, and not only that, she steps forward to play the lead role.
