[ Story ]

In this drama, Sakamoto Junji, director of Human Trust and The Projects, portrays the life of a man of Japanese descent who fought alongside Che Guevara and from whom he was given his first name. Odagiri Joe plays Freddy Maemura Hurtado, who was in league with Guevara fifty years ago.
Freddy Maemura Hur tado (Odagiri), a second-generation Japanese-Bolivian, goes to Havana University in Cuba aspiring to become a doctor. Then, amid the Cuban Missile Crisis, Freddy meets Che Guevara (Juan Miguel Valero Acosta) and joins his unit. Together they fight against the Bolivian military regime.
