A forbidden drama that strongly reflects Sakamoto Junji's own outlook on life. The original script, which was written with the image of actor Toyokawa Etsushi in mind, depicts "ultimate loneliness".
Kiryu Kaoru (Toyokawa), a lonely robot engineer, has lived his entire life without a sense of his own existence. In order to overcome his anxiety, he devotes himself to the development of an android that looks exactly like himself, a sort of other "me", in an old Western-style house that no one visits anymore. One day, his half-brother (Ando Masanobu) comes to visit.
