A live-action adaptation of Arakawa Hiromu's 'Fullmetal Alchemist', which has sold 70 million copies worldwide, from director Sori Fumihiko, who took part in the CG effects of Titanic.
Gifted alchemist Edward (Yamada Ryosuke) and his younger brother Alphonse attempt to resurrect their dead mother by performing a Human Transmutation. When it fails, they pay the price with Edward losing his left leg and Alphonse his entire body. Edward trades his own right arm to save Alphonse by binding his soul to a suit of armor and now with a steel limb, Edward travels the world as a Fullmetal Alchemist.
