First film in the feature film anime trilogy based on Karakara Kemuri's popular comic "Laughing Under the Clouds Gaiden." Produced by WIT STUDIO, which also worked on the TV anime series "Attack on Titan" and "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress."
The Yamainu squad is convened 11 years before the resurrection of the demon Orochi, which happens once every three centuries, in order to eradicate the snake demon. The squad includes Tenka (voice: Nakamura Shuichi), the oldest son in the Kumo family, as well as Sosei (voice: Toriumi Kosuke) and Kiiko (voice: Ohara Sayaka). However, an incident results in Tenka heading in a different direction from his comrades.
