Cutting-edge director Hirayanagi Atsuko's feature-length version of her short film by the same title, which was screened in the Cinéfondation selection at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. Stars Terajima Shinobu from Caterpillar. The Japanese and US cast and crew in this Japan-US co-production include Josh Hartnett from Black Hawk Down.
Setsuko (Terajima) is a single 43-year-old office worker who spends her days feeling unfulfilled. She gets interested in an English language class taught by an American teacher named John (Hartnett), and she gradually develops feelings for him.
