An animated sci-fi fantasy adapting Morimi Tomihiko's identically titled novel. Studio Colorido, known for Typhoon Noruda, makes its first feature length animation.
Fourth-grader Aoyama (voice: Kita Kana) passes his days studying about the world and writing down what he learns in a notebook. He has a great rapport with The Lady at his dentist's office. One day, penguins suddenly appear in their suburban town. Furthermore, he witnesses a can of cola thrown by The Lady turn into a penguin.
