Delusionary survival comedy film adaptation of a novel by Sekishiro with screenplay by Ueda Makoto, the popular screenwriter with Europe Kikaku. Surreal depiction of a man stranded on an uninhabited island as he single-mindedly waits to be rescued. Stars comedian Matayoshi Naoki, who is also an Akutagawa Prize-winning author.
I (Matayoshi) get lost at sea and come to on the beach of a deserted island, where I notice that the weekly tabloid 'Shukan Taishu' has randomly fallen at my feet. Clueless as to what I should do, I spend my time lost in delusions reading the tabloid until the day of my rescue.
