Live-action film adaption Akutagawa Prize-winning author Machida Kou's same-named period novel with direction by Crazy Thunder Road's Ishii Gakuryu. Screenplay by Kudo Kankuro of TOO YOUNG TO DIE!.
It's a random day on a random thoroughfare, and masterless samurai Kake Junoshin (Ayano Go) shows up and slashes a pilgrim beggar. Kake declares, "These people are going bring to misfortune to the land", but then a bunch of hooligans keep getting in his way. This marks the start of a battle of bluffing with a dozen ruffians.
