Coming-of-age live-action adaptation of manga author Oshimi Shuzo's best-known work, which is based on his life experiences. Script by Adachi Shin of 100 YEN LOVE and Obon Brothers and helmed by first-time feature film director Yuasa Hiroaki.
High school first-year student Shino (Minami Sara) has always struggled to get along with her peers because of a speech impediment. She is lonely at school, but then a chance encounter leads to her friendship with classmate Kayo (Makita Aju). When music-loving Kayo happens to hear Shino singing, she becomes captivated by her voice and asks her to start a band together.
