[ Story ]
A coming-of-age film based on his novel 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid', a 20-year project by Adachi Shin (A Beloved Wife). The seven schoolchildren who become the protagonists are portrayed vividly through long takes.
Primary school student Shun (Ikegawa Yukiya) wants to stay together with his important friends forever, including Ryuzo (Tashiro Hikaru), whose father (Nagase Masatoshi) has a criminal record, and Nishino (Iwata Kanade), who dreams of becoming a film director despite being bullied. However, each of them has a mountain of problems in their home environment that they cannot handle...
