A coming-of-age animated anthology dealing with the basic necessities of life in China-food, clothing, shelter, and transportation?by three young creators from China and Japan. The film consists of three episodes: a young boy from Hunan Province yearns for the flavors of his hometown in ""; sisters residing in Guangzhou are depicted living for today in ""; and a fleeting romance between a man and woman who lived in Shanghai as children is portrayed in "Shanghai Koi". The film is produced by Comics Wave, known for the works of director Shinkai Makoto whose "5 Centimeters per Second" is homaged by Shanghai Koi.
