A theatrical feature length animation of Sumino Yoru's identically titled best-selling novel which has also been adapted as a live-action film. Ushijima Shinichiro wrote the screenplay and is also making his directorial debut.
I (voice: Takasugi Mahiro) am a high school student who picked up a paperback book at a hospital. The book is about "living with a disease" and was the diary of my very naive classmate Yamauchi Sakura (voice: Lynn). Sakura told me she had little time to live due to pancreatic disease. As I joined Sakura living life to the fullest until the very last day, my heart gradually changed.
