Film adaptation of the true story of young nursery school caretakers who evacuated the children in their care to protect them from air strikes at the end of the Pacific War.
Togoshi nursery teachers in Tokyo scramble to find a place to evacuate and finally come up with a rundown temple. Their lives with the young children are laden with difficulties, and the head caretaker Itakura Kaede (Toda Erika) and the other teachers encourage the children by playing the organ. But, the shadows of war encroach on their place of refuge when US bombers strike Tokyo on March 10.
