Singaporean director Eric Khoo, whose 2008 film My Magic was nominated for a Palm d'Or, helms this Singapore/Japan/France co-produced drama.
Masato (Saito Takumi) runs a ramen shop. When he loses his father Kazuo (Ihara Tsuyoshi), the owner of the shop, he finds the diary of his Singaporean mother who died when he was young and a letter from her younger brother among Kazuo's belongings. Masato knows nothing about his mother, so he decides to go to Singapore where he himself lived until he was 10-years-old.
