An fantasy anime based on the juvenile novel 'Chikashitsu kara no Fushigi na Tabi'. Hara Keiichi of Summer Days with Coo and Miss Hokusai directs.
Akane (voice: Matsuoka Mayu) is a shy, young girl. On the day before her birthday the enigmatic and fabled alchemist Hippocrates (voice: Ichimura Masachika) suddenly emerges along with his apprentice Pipo (voice: Toyama Nao) from the basement of an antique store. They request Akane save their world and so Akane sets on an adventure to save the parallel world "Wonderland".
