Film adaptation of a short story by Naoki Prize-winning author Ijuin Shizuka. Direction and adaptation by acclaimed filmmaker Hashimoto Naoki, whose Birthright has been screened at domestic and international film festivals and won the Special Jury Award at the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival.
Eight-year-old Sayaka (Niitsu Chise) lives in a coastal town and can't accept that her beloved dog Lou vanished while she was on a school trip to the seaside. One day, she meets a dog in the field where she used to play with Lou. A few days later, she finds the dog leashed in front of a cafe and gets to know the cafe owner Fuse (Oida Yoshi).
