Film adaptation of the hard-boiled detective novel "Hoei" by popular author Kitakata Kenzo, who has had numerous works adapted for film. Director Izumi Seiji has helmed the TV series and feature films for the "Aibo" franchise.
Fuyuki (Kato Masaya) runs a bar in Yokohama and is also a well-known painter. He occupies himself with barhopping amongst his various establishments, but one day his acolyte Shinji (Kato Shinsuke) shows up injured. Shinji has gotten himself into a jam after trying to save a girl from city's underworld.
