Film adaptation of the 2004 debut novel from Miyashita Natsu, who made a splash when "The Forest of Wool and Steel" was adapted for film in 2018. Helmed by Nakagawa Ryutaro, whose accolades include the FIPRESCI Award at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival for Summer Blooms.
Biological archeology research assistant Yukisuke (Nakano Taiga) meets Koyomi (Eto Misa), who single-handedly runs a traditional sweets shop, and they gradually get to know each other. But, one morning she loses consciousness in a traffic accident. She miraculously comes to, but she is left with the disability of only retaining memories for each day, which she forgets upon waking the next morning.
