[ Story ]
The theatrical adaptation by I Am a Hero director Sato Shinsuke of "Kingdom", the smash hit manga set during the Spring and Autumn Period through the Warring States Period of China. The manga's original author, Hara Yasuhisa, also took part in writing the screenplay. The climatic finale was shot on a gigantic open set.
245 B.C. in the western China kingdom of Qin, war orphans Shin (Yamazaki Kento) and Hyo dream of becoming great generals and do nothing but train in sword fighting. Time passes. Hyo, an attendant at the royal palace, loses his life in a battle, but appearing before Shin is the young King of Qin, Eisei (Yoshizawa Ryo) who looks exactly like Hyo.
