[ Story ]
Sequel to Kingdom, the adaptation of Hara Yasuhisa's bestselling same-named manga that topped the box office for Japanese live-action films in 2019. Reunites the main cast with director Sato Shinsuke.
The story takes place in China, during the pre-era Warring States Period. Shin (Yamazaki Kento) is a boy who dreams of becoming a great general and suppresses the rebellion with the young Qin king Eisei (Yoshizawa Ryo). Six months later, the neighboring state of Wei launches an invasion. Under Eisei's command, with no battle experience Shin ends up forming the weakest five-men squad together with Kyokai (Seino Nana).
