[ Story ]
Fifty workers at the Fukushima No.1 Nuclear Power Plant are depicted in this drama as they face a critical situation due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. At the helm is Wakamatsu Setsuro, who is known for The Unbroken among others.
The Fukushima No.1 Nuclear Power Plant was beset by a giant tidal wave beyond expectations. The power plant suffers complete power failure, and with the atomic reactors no longer being cooled a meltdown cannot be averted. Izaki (Sato Koichi) is the on-duty manager of the No. 1 and No. 2 plants busily overseeing the atomic reactors. Facility chief Yoshida (Watanabe Ken) is in overall command. Despite their and others' efforts on site, the situation continues to grow worse.
