[ Story ]

A film adaptation of a story of love and beauty that had been envisioned for many years by the acclaimed screenwriter Kuramoto So, who is known as the screenwriter of works such as "From the Northern Country". The film is directed by Wakamatsu Tetsuro, of The Sun That Doesn't Set and Fukushima 50 fame.
At an exhibition of world-renowned painter Tamura Shuzo (Ishizaka Koji), one of his works turns out to be a forgery. In the midst of heated daily news reports, the body of a woman with tattoos all over her body is discovered in Hokkaido. A link emerges between the two incidents in the shape of Tsuyama Ryuji (Motoki Masahiro), who was once called a genius painter, who was believed to be missing.
