Musician Nagabuchi Tsuyoshi returns to the screen after twenty years in this drama. At the helm is Gonno Hajime who has worked numerous television series and films, in addition to putting his skills to use in the "Partners" series.
Master carpenter Kawasaki Shingo (Nagabuchi) has a tough appearance but is a mischievous, deeply kindhearted man. One day, Kawasaki is hard at work at a job site and meets single mother Mei (Hirosue Ryoko) and her son Ryusei (Yunho). Having been raised without knowing his father, Ryusei doesn't quite become attached to Kawasaki, but slowly opens his heart.
