Helmed by romance maestro Yukisada Isao, whose films include Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World. Depicts a guy struggling to make it as a stage director and the love of the woman who supports him. Based on the same-named novel by Akutagawa Prize-winning author Matayoshi Naoki.
Playwright-cum-director Nagata (Yamazaki Kento) runs his own theater troupe. His avant-garde style gets scathing reviews and he anguishes between his ideals for theater and the reality of his troupe on the verge of splitting up. Then, he spontaneously introduces himself to Saki (Matsuoka Mayu), who he sees in town wearing shoes that match his own.
