[ Story ]
Director Sakata Masako's photo journalist husband Greg Davis died in 2003 of liver cancer. His disease was suspected to be brought on by his exposure to the defoliant Agent Orange while he served in the U.S. army during the Vietnam War. To deal with her loss, and to learn more about the toxic chemical, Sakata decides to travel to Vietnam. There, she finds victims of the contamination everywhere, more than 30 years after the war. The reality of people suffering from cancer and children born with deformities and illnesses tells a harsh story, but Sakata discovers love and care among families despite their ordeals. The documentary reveals historical facts that led to the ecological disaster, as well as being a celebration of love's ability to face enormous adversity.
