[ Story ]

Australia-born David Gross who produced Wastecooking among others, travels the world as a film director and food activist. In this documentary, he searches for hints to solve "food waste" as he travels through various areas in Japan, one the countries which disposes the most amount of food in the world. David and his travel companion, Niki, travels in a food truck from Fukushima to Kagoshima covering 1,600 kilometers in four weeks. The two reclaim discarded ingredients from various places and open their "Mottanai Kitchen" where those ingredients are transformed into delicious meals.
