Malaysian director Edmond Yeo helms this adaptation of Yoshimoto Banana's same-named novel, which has been translated into over 30 languages. In this love story, the main character loses her beloved and gropes for a way forward in life.
Satsuki (Komatsu Nara) and Hitoshi (Miyazawa Hio) meet on the riverbank under a long bridge and fall in love. They start hanging out with Satsuki's younger brother Hiiragi (Sato Himi) and his girlfriend Yumiko (Nakahara Nana) and enjoy a period of peace and happiness, but events abruptly force them apart.
