Godai Tomoatsu, a samurai who prospered between the end of the Edo Era and the early Meiji Era, is depicted in this ensemble youth drama. The original story is brought to life by the 125 Years Memory duo of screenwriter Komatsu Eriko, and director Tanaka Mitsutoshi.
At the close of the Edo Period, Godai (Miura Haruma) and Sakamoto Ryoma (Miura Shohei) acutely sensed the advent of a new age. Should foreigners be expelled? Or should the country be opened? Shifting his attention to the world, Godai is spurred forward by the hope of a prostitute named Haru (Morikawa Aoi) who wants to be free to dream. Sakamoto, Iwasaki Yataro (Nishikawa Takanori), Ito Hirobumi (Morinaga Haruki), and others share the ambition.
