Production I.G produced the third season for the "Die Neue These" animation based on the mammoth SF novel "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" by popular author Tanaka Yoshiki. The 12 episodes (25 to 36) in the Collision arc were released in theaters in three chapters.
The year is 798 UC and fighting erupts between a squadron from the Free Planets Alliance and the Galactic Empire. Meanwhile, Lohengramm (Miyano Mamoru) takes control of the Galactic Empire and moves forward with reforms.
