Film adaptation of Kakiya Miu's novel about the struggles of a homemaker dogged by financial disaster. A Banana? At This Time of Night? director Maeda Tetsu brings his unique perspective and rhythmical style to the film.
Atsuko (Amami Yuki) has raised her daughter Mayumi (Shinkawa Yua) and son Yuto (Seto Toshiki) with her husband Akira's (Matsushige Yutaka) income and her part-time wages. With frugality as her motto, she has also managed to squirrel away money for their retirement. But their supposedly modest lifestyle suddenly starts coming apart at the seams.
