Following Think Again, Junpei, director Morioka Toshiyuki adapts best-selling author Okuda Hideo's novel of the same title for the screen. Set in a desolate former coal-mining town, this human drama depicts the importance of human connections.
Mukoda Yasuhiko (Takahashi Katsumi), who runs the barbershop he inherited from his parents with his wife Kyoko (Tomita Yasuko), is concerned about the current state of the town, which once flourished as a coal mining town but now has an ageing, shrinking population. One day, his son Kazumasa (Shirasu Jin), who has been working in Tokyo, returns home and says he will take over the store.
