Feature film debut released in 1981 from director Morita Yoshimitsu, who passed away at age 61 in 2011.
Up-and-coming rakugo performer Shintoto (Ito Katsunobu) is training in traditional rakugo. He visits a brothel for the first time on his 23rd birthday and meets sex worker Elizabeth (Akiyoshi Kumiko), and they go on a few dates. Meanwhile, he falls for Yumi, who belongs to a girl's high school rakugo club and asks him to teach her about rakugo. Then, an older rakugo performer named Shinkome (Bitou Isao) ascends to pro status.
