Ingenious film about romance released in 1996 by director Morita Yoshimitsu, who passed away in 2011 at the age of 61. His original script portrays a love story between a man and women connected online in the days before the Internet was commonplace.
Hayami (Uchino Masaaki) is a young office worker posting online as "Haru." He gets to know Mitsue (Fukatsu Eri), a female office worker who goes by the handle "Hoshi," and they start exchanging emails. They don't know other's face or real name, but they soon develop a bond that seems like friendship.
