Film adaptation of the autobiographical novel by Tsuchiya Takayuki, a writer obsessed with the world of comedy. It is the commercial film debut of director Takimoto Kengo, who has directed many TV dramas and commercials.
After six years of coming up with new material every day, Tsuchiya Takayuki (Okayama Amane) is finally recognized for his comedic skills and becomes an apprentice writer at a comedy theatre. However, Tsuchiya's words and actions, which simply pursued laughter, were not understood by those around him. Still unable to give up on comedy, he tries to make a comeback as a "gag writer" for a radio program.
