[ Story ]
The team that created Maiko Haaaan!!! — director Mizuta Nobuo, screenwriter Kudo Kankuro and star Abe Sadawo – reunite for this family drama full of laughter and tears. Set in a friendly old working class neighborhood of Tokyo, the film follows the ups and downs in the daily lives of one quirky family.
Two brothers abandoned as children by their wayward father (Ihara Tsuyoshi) have lived separate lives ever since. Older brother Yuta (Abe Sadawo) has taken over the delicatessen that his foster parents opened, with sales of the shop's famous ham cutlet helping to prop up the old shopping arcade. Meanwhile, younger brother Yusuke (Eita) has found success as one half of a "sibling" comedy duo formed with Kinjo Daisuke (Tsukamoto Takashi). One day, Tetsuko (Takeuchi Yuko), the former delicatessen owners' only daughter, suddenly returns home after more than a decade of not being heard from. With the help of a little plastic surgery she's been transformed into a beautiful woman. When Yuta proposes marriage, it sets off a surprising turn of events that leads to a fateful reunion between Yuta and his brother Yusuke.
