Turgenev's masterpiece, "First Love," has been made into a film many times in the past and in this version the location for the story has been moved to Japan. Picked out of an audition of more than 1000 people, the lead actress is Takigawa Hanako, daughter of actress Takigawa Yumi. Yamada Kenta, who gave such a fresh impression in The Battery -Future in Our Hands- Battery, plays the lead male role. A boy and girl met in a mountain town, and although he longs for her, the girl, who feels deep loneliness in the innermost recesses of her heart, seduces the boy's father to rebel against her stepmother. When the boy discovers this, it shocks him to his core.
